Administration

Gilpin began his career with the St. Joseph School District as a full-time elementary substitute teacher before transitioning to Spring Garden as a special education teacher, where he led the Structured Learning program. He later served as Activities Director at Lafayette High School before becoming Assistant Principal during the 2022-2023 school year.

Gilpin holds an Ed.S. in Superintendency, an M.Ed. in K-12 Administration, and a B.S. in Physical Education, all from Northwest Missouri State University. He is also certified in Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical K-12 Special Education.

He and his wife live in St. Joseph with their two children, Breck and Hayes.
